Managing Whiplash
Have you ever experienced whiplash with symptoms like headache, neck pain, jaw pain, low back pain and dizziness?
Whiplash occurs when the neck is rapidly jerked back and forth such as in a car collision or a blindside hit in football or slipping on ice. This causes trauma to the portion of the spine located in the neck, which is called the cervical spine.
The cervical spine encompasses not only the joints of the spinal column but also the muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments in the neck - all of which can sustain injury and can show symptoms of whiplash.
